SMS offers the opportunity to send text messages of up to 160 characters directly to a
mobile phone. c.-SMS Gateway allows you to use the potential that SMS offers for business communication to full capacity.
In addition to the usual transfer of messages to individual employees, c.-SMS Gateway enables you to establish complex SMS applications, such as for on-call services or sales representatives.

For example, it is possible to use c.-SMS Gateway to automatically and reliably transmit alarm messages
(SNMP Traps) within a network management system to the responsible on-call service.
The use of c.-SMS allows service providers and other
companies to offer services to their customers that are independent from the network provider:
These Services include specific database queries on inventories, rates etc., interactive information services
(news, alarms, stock tickers), and transaction systems
such as Mobile Banking.
All required data is provided in a Notes database. It is possible to send standardized time recording messages from mobile phones to this database, around the clock, where they can be instantly processed. c.-SMS is based on Lotus Notes and thus utilizes all the features Lotus Notes offers with regard to addressing, routing, access authorization, and database queries.
c.-SMS supports all GSM mobile networks worldwide as well as most pager networks. According to the respective application and the required data throughput, access to the SMSC
(Short Message Service Center) is scalable from analogue modems to GSM radio modules to multiple TCP/IP; on the highest level, c.-SMS Gateway offers the simultaneous transmission of several million messages – with total control of the process.
